The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline 3600 Rear Brake Question (Bendix Converted)

I just got back from NAPA and we sorted it out. The brakes and even the wheel cylinder are off an early 70's F250. Identical. Should have the whole works in by this coming weekend.

Now I need to write all this down.

1Ton Tommy Thanks & Yes, I was inspecting for a worn groove, actually looks pretty good. I've used those speedy sleeves for rear main seals before, great to know they are made for this application. Edit/update: As a matter of fact it looks like, when they did the Bendix conversion, they spent some good cash. The axles for sure have been replaced with what looks like new; and the spindles may actually be new (well, new at that time). Seal appears to have weeped just from sitting for 21+ years. Unusual for me to get so lucky I better buy a lotto ticket.
