| | | | Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 250 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 250 | There is a parking brake cable clip, Jim Carter part number ME168, that fits on the brake shoe end of the cable. They say it fits the 1-Ton but I had to modify the one I bought from them several years ago and was never happy with the result. I ended up finding an original clip that fit just fine. The armored section of the cable was the wrong diameter and couldn't be fixed tightly to the frame mounted bracket without more fiddling.
A couple of years ago Jim Carter said they had a new design cable that fixed these problems. It was a limited run and I don't know if you have the newer design or they had to go back to the old manufacturer. Eventually I got lucky and found 2 NORS cables on eBay that fit perfectly. Talking with the guy I got them from, he said they were the only 2 he had.
