I agree with John. I don't believe and have never seen a setup where the rod from the brake arm shaft is not parallel to the input to the master cylinder. Either bend your brake arm if possible or make an adapter plate as John does to get these things to line up. I have never had to make a plate but have "egged" out the center hole in the crossmember and redrilled the mounting bolt holes on hot rods to get things to line up. When going from the old "fruit jar" setup to a modern master cylinder/booster under the floor pan you have to get quite creative, but remember, SAFETY first. You gotta be able to stop the thing every time.
