In the past, some have reported those adapters are a big pain in the butt requiring major reworking and then wind up breaking flex plates at times.You may want to check if these problems have been addressed before planning on using it.
An original 235 Powerglide will bolt right up,only two gears and no OD of course.Or you could change the rear gears to 2.73's and use a 50's Chevy or GMC truck 4spd Hydromatic with it's low first gear.
