I added a "Hot Rod Air" system to my streetrod with a inline 250ci. Under dash vents and contol head was my option as I didn't want to hack up the orginial dash. The real pain was the mounting brackett for the compressor. It mounts on the passenger side above and slightly in front of the dist. My engine had a OEM HEI dist. which took up tons of room in that area. As the streetrod season was approching and my wife doesn't like hot air blowing in her hair I had to modify the store bought bracket to get the compressor higher up. All this interfered with the hot water port on the water pump. I redesigned the outlet barb on the water pump by cutting the orginial barb off, threading the hole and screwing a "V" shaped barb in. The thing went in and the season pasted. But I didn't like the compressor sitting so high on the motor. Over last winter I purchased a small dist. from Mallory, mounted a GM racing coil and again redesgined the mount and heater hose barb, got the compressor down real low and everything looks great.
