Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 61 Member | | Member Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 61 | It is most important to keep the tube size small on sbc chevies. 1 1/2 to 15/8 is best. You need the back psi. Run the exhaust pipe all the way back and put your mufflers behind the rear axle. This allows the heat to travel all the way back before it hits a restriction. (disipates more heat) Don`t let anyone kid you headers flow much better allow the engine to breathe and will add performance and ecconmey both. You can`t go wrong with headers. Pay for good ones. Wrap them in heat sheid, and use quality gaskets. I like to use the copper lip type. Have a fun day, and do the headers. Slider
