Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 23 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 23 | So finally go the correct 3.73 14 bolt with the correct WMS for my 52 Chevy 3600. Also converted to disc brakes on the rear. However, as I step back and look once more before welding the spring perches, I notice the wheels don't look like they are properly centered in the fenders. Left side has a larger space than right. Also looking down from the top, the drive shaft appears to be making a compound angle towards the passenger side. I know the 14 bolt has a offset pinion. I have taken several measurements across the front to rear and the frame appears to be square and front and rear wheels line up correctly. I can correct this by moving the axle toward the driver side. That will put more space between the driver side leaf perch to the brake mounting flange than the passenger side. The overall distance between perched will still be the correct 41.5". So should there be equal spacing between each leaf perch and the mounting flange? | | |
