I've acquired a Carter 967 (that needs a rebuild, but looks like a GREAT rebuild candidate), or is it a 966? It has auto choke. I'm wondering if it's feasible to convert to ported vacuum or is that not practical? I'm getting tired of chasing the Rochester 1B. I may still thoroughly go through the 1B this winter (try and straighten air horn, polish accelerator pump well) but I would like something in it's place for now.
