Hello all newbie out in the land of the Sun and Heat. Have a 52' 3800 that I was given on my 16th Birthday from my grandfather way up in "Gods Country" aka Da UP of Michigan. As far as I understand I am the third owner of this beast the original being a lumber mill company that went out of business decades ago in South Range Michigan. My father used to run a body shop up there where the truck was brought to for an updated paint job. His dad fell in love with it and was able to talk the lumber mill owner out of it for the cost of the paint job and he drove it in the summer months only so there is limited cancer/rust on it and I was finally able to get it from Michigan to Arizona last summer. Plan now is to get it up and running and cruising around. Was finally able to get the mighty 216 and four speed tranny out of it yesterday. I know, I know don't pull out the original, but unfortunately the 6 volt electrical system isn't going to work for me and my wife and kids have no desire/ability to drive a manual and I really don't want them learning on this so a V8 and auto trans is going in to alleviate some of the pain and suffering. Look forward to learning all that I can from other members of this site, so far just in reviewing a few posts here I have already begun to get some great tips and tricks.
