| | | | Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 351 | The '48-'51 Chevy Truck Shop Manual lists on page 0-5 the recommended lubricant as 90 wt. I prefer Red Line Oil MT-90, as it is synchronizer friendly, and works well in older transmissions. Others can probably help better than I on the questions regarding shifter sloppiness. Doug
