That actually depends. It is true that the pre 55 distributors are different then the post 55 2403 distributors. The differences are in the lobes, points, rotor and cap. But my decades old delco remy books all provide the later 2403 distributor as a service replacement for the earlier distributors. If I can get a shot of the page I will post it.
