I typed a long post the other day about your transmissions and I guess I never hit the post button because it's not here...

So, after further research I found that one of your transmissions is a 3-speed and the other is a 4-speed.
590474 = 1931-47 truck 4-speed. The date code looks like C 6 4 which would be March 6, 1934 (1934 is a guess on my part because I don't think they used the Bow Tie on the later transmissions built in the 1940's...someone please correct me if I'm wrong and they have a 1940's trans with the Bow Tie).
591195 = 1941-47 truck 3-speed.
Both would be correct in your 1947 truck, however the 3-speed might be synchronized while the 4-speed is not...does the 4-speed have the reverse lock out lever at the gear shift knob?
Both will be direct drive in High Gear. The 3-speed might be easier to drive, but not as good getting the load moving (no granny gear).
