That would be “higher pressure” oil system in earlier GMC 6 cylinder engines?
Even low-pressure Chevrolet engines had/have pressurized oil lubrication systems.
I think I have heard/read that the GMC blocks and heads were harder (more zinc, maybe).
If so, they were harder metal.
