is there anyone that can give please me some ideas on how to go to get a bumper on my 46 Pick up ?
I bought a new bumper for the front which means I was thinking of losing the custom bumper I have tight under my tailgate and going back closer to the factory bumper . I’m guessing front and rear bumpers in these trucks was the same, so I should be sble to use it on the rear.
I bought 1946 bumper irons but my frame has been boxed and a box section crossmember has been added to the chassis at the very rear. This probably counts out using the original style brackets.
My question is is there other years bumper brackets that would work ? Also would the bed parts and bumpers from later models fit my bed? The beds on later years look the same so would the bumper and step panels , lower body panels etc also work in a 42-46 Truck? Thanks in advance for any help Regards Chris
