For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 15 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 15 | was recently reading a thread here concerning splitting an existing 235 manifold. i.b. hoggin had some interesting pics on his web site. would like to hear more about how it came out? I'm no welder so asked a friend here at my work about it. he has taught welding classes at local jr college and is fairly knowlegable in the art of welding. have almost talked him into doing one for me but he needs more info pertaining to type of rod used etc. he felt that welding a standard heavy elbow to cast iron might cause problems and lead to cracking. can anyone shed some light on this mystery for me? thanks ole b97 | | |
