Powder coating in my area in my experience is not very good .corrosion gets under and the powder coat and flakes off . When I sanded my rims that were powder coated they were very difficult to sand and spots that were still shinny looking chipped off and there was rust underneath ,making it difficult to tell were the rust was .l ended up using sandblaster to get it all .my trailer was the same looked good until one use in the winter coating started flaking and the rust seemed to hid under until the coating chipped off .
