Over the past several years, I've been looking at these flux wire welders with a fair amount of skepticism until this one became available. I rolled the dice and purchased one a couple days ago for $199.99 (Christmas gift cards are great!). It looks like they go on sale January 10-12, 2020, for $169.99 and of course HFT will honor the sale price. The reviews seem to be pretty good and should make a good addition to my tools and equipment. I just wanted something for small projects. This one is supposed to weld up to 3/16", which should do me just fine. The flux core wire it comes with is low-end, so I'll plan to upgrade it after I burn through the cheapo stuff.
