The early chevy truck columns are a great choice where old looks are important but ther are getting hard to find. Chevy 30 series walk in vans used the same column up into the 80's and are a lot easier to find at a wrecking yard. Repair parts are the same as the early columns and can still be purchased at your local Chevy dealer at bargain prices. I picked up an automatic transmission version for 10 bucks, put in a new t/s switch and lower bearing and it was a done deal for under 50 bucks. Just for giggles give Idiot a call and price one up.
