I grew up in El Paso, next to the US/Mexico border. I've seen my share of lowriders, both good and bad. There are people in EP that will make a lowrider out of ANYTHING, I swear. Lowrider mini-vans always make me chuckle.

That said. for strictly street use, I like the look of a lowered truck. With our '54 project, we plan on lowering it with IFS and possibly drop spindles to give it a cool street stance. It's not going tobe ground-scrapingly low, though. I agree with red58 that trucks with the sheetmetal sitting in the grass look pretty silly.
Most trucks require significant modification to pull that look off, and usually have the rear suspension taking up a huge chunk of space in the bed, as well.
