I looked for a good long time, then found one on ebay and it happened to be just fifty miles up the road. Complete long block standard bore with correct big rochester B carb, $500. I had it machined and assembled it myself, turned out to be a really good engine. That engine will run circles around the 305 V6 in my 64 GMC 1/2 ton.

The moral of the story, keep looking and checking craiglist, good info on availing yourself to all the vehicles that had them including canadian cars.

BTW, I still have the stock slugs and a new set of standard rings if somebody wants them.
