I am working on a 1948 GMC with a 270cid engine this model has a heat box on the exhaust manifold wich uses a weighted damper and spring to heat the intake manifold for proper fuel atomization. Well I am missing the damper it was either removed or rusted off. My question is what driveability issues will I have with out this damper. This is an old fire truck so it’s main use will be for parades. Our high temp is around 90* in the summer. I’m hoping I can slap that baby right back on and not have any real noticeable issues. Thanks
