I thought this thread was about the "John Bean Visualiner"- - - - -a wheel alignment system from the early 1950's that used a series of light bulbs and mirrors to project beams onto a screen for checking caster, camber and toe! I taught wheel alignment with one for several years before the school where I was teaching got a computer alignment system in the mid-1980's. The companion machine to the alignment system was a "Visubalancer".
