I missed our local parade this year (reportedly the largest Veterans Day Parade in the state) -- first time in a long time. Spent a good bit of the day taking care of a Marine Corps Wife (who spent a few years in the service of her Corps on the far side of the planet). Enjoyed all the texts that came in from my brother Leathernecks on our Birthday and on the 11th marking the day.
Several brothers and I noticed that we have passed the mark now where we have spent more time in the 1st CivDiv (as adults) than we spent on active duty ... Still feel more comfortable in the company of fellow Marines than with most civilians...
