hello , I posted a thread a while back about my 1939 chevrolet 1.5 ton left front drum brake hanging up . when I bought this truck it hand a complete brake job done brake shoes , end cylinders , hubs turned , master cylinder . an old friend of mine happened to notice when I had the left brake drum removed that who did this brake job put a make shift 2 length return spring instead of a proper single spring , this did not have enough tension to retract the bake shoes causing the brake shoes to hang up . I purchased the proper spring and works fine $7.00
I missed the this problem thinking ever thing looks new , a 2nd person found this problem quickly . some time a 2nd set of eyes helps
