Removing the front clip is really pretty easy. Biggest challenge you'll likely have is the need to twist off most of the bolts if they're original. Replacing it is also not that difficult, and gives you a good opportunity to adjust a little if needed. I posted a video on YouTube if you want to spend 5 minutes seeing how it's removed.
