Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 1,067 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 1,067 | As a matter of fact, the 255/60R-15 is the size I use on my 1968 Corvette because they are 27" in diameter which is exactly the diameter of the original F70-15 Wide Ovals.
I don't know if they're still available, but Pirelli makes that size in their Scorpion SUV tire with a V-rating. And they are the only company out there that carries this size in something better than S-rated tires that I know of. I got a set of those for the Vette.
Mine are mounted on 15x8 wheels, but you can usually go down or up an inch. It should fit fine.
