There are several vendors that offer aftermarket coils in different spring rates, if your truck has a V8 or if you are going to use it as a hauler these might be worth a look. If the S10 was originally a V6 you should have no issue with running the stock spring rate or the spring from the Extreme package to smooth out the ride.
