I have one of each.
My truck has the 4 speed installed. The plate we are using has a bump to provide clearance for the transmission. This bump has the hole for the shifter. The other plate is flat like in the pix the OP attached. A previous owner replaced the original 3 speed with the 4 speed so the flat one is surplus to my needs.
Have you decided what transmission you will be installing?
