Hello, I'm preparing to put in a new kingpin kit for my 48' 1/2 ton. I've got all the years of grease cleaned and I'm currently soaking all nuts and threads. I'm planning to remove the tie-rod end from the knuckle, but wasn't sure if I just remove the cotter pin (carpenter nail in mine), and turn the big end screw cap counter clock-wise? Presuming the ball joint cups will slacken enough to allow me to remove?
