It would work to check the cylinder walls, but to get it to look upward toward the valves would be a challenge. I have a $25 borescope that works on my cell phone or laptop, but the light in it it pretty weak. It's also real nearsighted, so you have to be close. Might be hard to maneuver it to get good coverage of the cylinder walls.
