Using a vacuum cleaner to operate the wiper motor it only operated in one direction. I soaked the internals of the motor overnight in brake fluid. I got it to operate in both directions but it was easy to stop by hand. The gasket that seals the cover to the body are paper thin. I figured the chances of getting the motor open without ripping the sixty seven year old gasket were slim and rebuild kits are not available. I ended up sending it out to Ficken Wiper Repair https://rebuildingtricowipers.com, aka “Wiperman”, and and it’s real strong. I payed $135 shipped with a 1 week turnaround. A dry windshield won’t stop it! Highly Recommended!
