This has been driving me crazy. Replaced the Speedo head (old unit was frozen up) Still no joy. Cable is good Not broken or snagging turns freely by hand.
My question is this. I am not sure if the cable has been removed from the housing before. Which end of the cable goes to the speedo, The one with the retaining nut like end or the one without.
I have the correct small end attachment nut at the speedo. It also appears that the tail shaft gear may be damaged and not driving the cable. More trouble shooting ahead.
