Yes they used the chev dash in those, at least the ones I've seen. And if that is a true factory stock truck, it is best not to do any kind of modifications to it. If that is original paint and no rusty mess, that could in that original condition bring big $. I find it so funny that people that wreck or modify these old trucks think they will then have some personal special thing, not really it seems everyone wants to destroy them, and then after they do they sell them and find another to mess up, only a hand full have a factory stock one that is the rarity. I personalty have never seen one of these trucks restored. Everyone ever advertised as an original restoration always has a non factory modification. And a note: for something you wish to drive the only modification that is acceptable, as long as it is mounted where the original one is and no extra holes or welds or cuts are done is a dual chamber master cylinder.
