Built an 8-71 in tech school. I was under the impression that they would run either way? Used a blower at low boost for scavenging and had a turbo for boost. Everyone else got to build 3406 and 3126 cats. Showed up late and got the 8-71. Those old 2 cycles are bad [censored] motors.
