| | | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 583 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 583 | Took the truck for a long ride today. Top loader trans with floor shift. Trans shifted fine for the first ten miles. Then it would go into first but grind slightly, but still go into gear. After a 50 miles run and cooling off the trans shifted fine again until I got about 10 miles down the road. It would do this in 1st and reverse gear. I checked the clutch adjustment and it was OK. If I put in the clutch and shifted it to third gear and then into first it would shift with no problem. No problems with 2nd and 3rd gear shifting, up or down. Of note, I did not have this problem when using 85-140w GL4. It is doing it with 90w GL4. Advice appreciated as always.
