Update
Started spring removal process. got left side off. Went well. Used steel wire brush to remove as much dirt off threads of the U-bolts as possible. Sprayed with lots of Kroil penetrating oil and let sit most of the day. Used a large breaker bar and the nuts broke free easier that I thought they would. Still had to use 1/2 in impact to get them off the rest of the way and they fought it. Had to run them tight and loose and add more oil. But they finally gave up. I'm goingto clean up everything and paint the brackets and new U bolts before installing. Pictures coming.
Was wondering what to do with the old springs. Think anyone would want them? I've heard some places can recurve old springs? None of the shops near me ever heard of that.
