I bought a new outside windshield middle trim strip and I am installing.
The inside metal strip holes are too large for the inside mounting bolts for the outside strip. The head on the bolts go right through the inside strip into the weather stripping.
The assembly manual doesn't really show a clear picture of the inside metal strip.
I can put a washer on the bolt, but it really doesn't look correct. I also could use a threaded rod on the trim piece and use an acorn nut with a washer.
Can someone post a picture of an installed windshield middle trim piece?

I also have an original style rear view mirror and it won't mount tightly on that top bolt.

I'm wondering if I'm missing a clip or something.
