The re-pop linkage has to be tweaked to line up with the factory holes...
I stand corrected, I did go back through some old pictures and did find one cab that was not drilled for the Chevy V8 linkage, but it was a GMC cab...
Here's a picture of the two holes/bolts just above the gas pedal in my '56 3100 and a pic of the GMC cab.
