Suggestion, take a metal coat hanger and shape up a linkage that'll clear all the obstructions and connect to the inter-carb throttle bar. Once you've got a good workable design, go buy a length of round stock at a TSC or similar and bend it to match the coat hanger.
I did similar on those same (or very similar) carbs on a 235.
