Good morning Dean. Several years ago I was looking on Craigslist and came across an announcement for a "150 Mile Street rod Reliability Run" in Sonoma and Marin Counties. It was limited to 1940 and earlier rods and restorations and about 30 vehicles showed up Among them was some truly unique stuff like a Model T Speedster with an ultra, ultra rare Roof overhead valve conversion. My wife and I chose to participate in our roadster and leave the .36 Chevy pickup at home. All of the vehicles completed the run with zero problems.
I don't have the temperament to sit in a lawn chair all day hanging out at a car show so this was perfect for me. My computer skills are lousy so I haven't been able to find that event in recent years. I think you'd like it too so if you stumble across it please let me know.
