I'd have to disagree with your sentiment. Hot rods are a dime a dozen, and most rods and resto-mods are a personal vision of one person. But an original truck will ALWAYS be more desireable than a hot rod, unless you are that one guy that a rod speaks to. And as someone else said on this site, they're only original once.
Most people really just want something trouble-free and sorted. Most of us have more money than time, and it sounds like you've done all the heavy lifting. I would think you'll have no trouble selling, given the myriad of ways to sell on-line these days.
