FYI-
The T-5 hydraulic Throw Out bearing is different from all others and available at the same cost as the universal one.
The universal hydraulic throw out bearing would work very nicely on the sm-420.
I would imagine the stock GM ones would work too if someone would figure out which one was the right height and had the right amount of travel when depressed. Otherwise, the universal one that comes with a shim kit and slider rod can be easily set up.
Where to put the master cylinder? I'm putting it on the frame rail sort of beneath the steering box and using a heim and rod set up to pull the plunger rather than push it. Will post pictures later.
Cost???? Hydraulic Throw Out Bearing: $150; 3/4" master cylinder $50, hydraulic line $15. 1/4 thick 3" x 6" piece of steel with 1 1/4" diameter hole and 2 x 5/16" holes to fab mount for master cylinder, $10.00 from scrap yard; 5/16 heim $5.00.
