Got myself a '54 3600 recently.
I have a '83 Chevy 3/4 conversion van that looks to be the donor for the 350/700R4, and I was hoping to also use the front and rear suspension our of it for the truck, but as it is it's too wide.
Called a machine shop, and they would narrow the rearend for $300, unless there are issues.
My tranny shop can install an upgrade that would make the trans fully hydraulic, and I wouldn't have to worry about electrical controls out of the van.
I want to upgrade the truck, and liked the idea of using 3/4 ton suspension. Should I pursue having the rear end narrowed, and what other options do I have for the front? I was liking the idea of having the power disc brakes, coil spring, etc. out of the '83
