I did the crossmember conversion about 3 years ago on my '66 SWB. I used the entire crossmember from a '73 1/2 ton Suburban. The wheels don't stick out any further now than they did before. Save yourself the trouble of taking a bunch of measurements. The conversion is well worth the effort.
