Mine are different side to side also. The driver's side has a flattened bead, and the passenger side is rounded. Are you sure you didn't get them mixed up? The one with the seat adjusting lever slot goes on the driver's side. I'm reasonably sure mine are original to the truck.
[on edit] Looking again at your photos, yours are configured opposite of mine.
