tclederman Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Jarvisburg, NC, USA	The engine is not a GMC engine - wrong valve cover. It is a high-pressure 235/261 Chevrolet engine. The engine serial number that is pressed/stamped into the block at the rear of the distributor should help to ID the engine. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
