ok John - lookin @ mine & thinkin on it, w/ doghse off & bare block
this shot may do it. note the bottom of steering box is about dead center on the xhaust. that's the stock position, and w/ the 6cyl rad mount you can move about 5" forward max B4 the fan hits the rad [also - you'll need to find a fan shroud to prevent overheating in city traffic]. problem I see w/ not using stock position is you'll prolly need to make a drive shaft to fit.
