For comparison, my '62 GMC 6500 with a 478 V-6 and a 16 Ft all Steel Flat Bed Dump and a GVW of 32,000 was listed on the side of the truck at 12,000.
Don't mean to highjack a thread but you wouldn't happen to have a spare 478 laying around would you Bill??
