I was turning the carb today and I realized that I don't think the valve cover is set up correctly. It has a breather type air filter on the back and the front is oil cap that appears to be vented. Smoke comes up out of the oil cap as it was idling.
Looking at pictures and other posts appear that a valve in the back should have a hose that runs to the carb or air cleaner. I have a rochester b single carb and it doesn't have any port to plug the hose into, should I look at replacing the air cleaner to fix this?
Any other ideas?
