| | | | Joined: Jan 2019 Posts: 22 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2019 Posts: 22 | I am installing a engine I purchased that has been rebuilt and runs well. The seller wanted to go to a V8 in his Malibu. The engine codes are as follows.
Block numbers: 3850817 - 230 - 250 CID
Head Casting numbers: 3824437 - 230 CID
Engine stamped: F0909LK I assume this means Flint/Sept/9th. I am having difficulty with the LK. I believe it is out of a car, with manual transmission.
Also stamped was CON 2. H233. Is this a 1963 engine?
Any clarification is appreciated. I did not ask the seller if the engine was original to the car when I purchased it.
